Learn exactly how we are making it incredibly simple for enterprises to start leveraging the benefits of blockchain in our new explainer video.
This week, we are proud to announce the release of version 1.3 packed with a host of security, orchestration, UI, and protocol support upgrades. All users who have deployed Quorum and Ethereum nodes will be required to transition before 1 October to avoid breakages when accessing existing nodes. Furthermore, the Chainstack Docs has also undergone a massive content and structure overhaul, and we think calling it an improvement would be a bit of an understatement.
We're currently working hard on Corda protocol support. But in the meantime, we have plenty lined up for us; we'll be powering our first-ever blockathon, speaking at several blockchain conferences, and like everyone else in the Ethereum community, gearing up for DevCon 5, amongst other things. So wherever you are in the world, we'll probably see you around.
Chainstack 1.3: API Endpoint Authentication,
Improved Quorum Stability, Notifications
Security: Authentication of node API endpoints for more secure developer environment
Orchestration: Bolt snap service for more regular sync of full Ethereum ledger
Protocol: Improved stability of Quorum protocol support
UX: Menu bar notifications and activity log on deployment status
In our last newsletter we had already updated our Docs with tons of new resources, but then we welcomed a new knowledge manager into our team who decided that we could do much, much better. We then proceeded to completely tear it apart and rework it fromscratch. While we're sad to say goodbye to the pioneering design of the docs site, we're also extremely excited to show it off. We're confident that it now has a much more intuitive structure, cleaner language, and loads of new information.
Feel free to take a shot at some of the tutorials. If you get stuck with anything, remember to reach out to us on Gitter.
Chainstack, Infura, BlockCypher, Alethio: How Do They Match Up?
We ran a comparison to determine how Chainstack compares to other managed Ethereum service providers in terms of latency, contract deployment, centralization, API namespaces, and more.
While CTO Eugene Aseev was in Hong Kong pitching at RISE, Asia’s largest tech conference, the rest of the team watched the live stream all the way from Singapore. In July, we wrapped up the first season of the DApps Development Club after being what we'd like to consider excellent hosts for 5 months. The ground-up developer interest group was founded with the goal of making DApp development more accessible to general programmers and after 10 sessions, they were well equipped with the skills necessary to bring their own DApp ideas to life. We also had the pleasure of hosting the CTO of Perlin for a workshop on how to build a decentralized chat in less than 100 lines of code. To help businesses keen on experimenting on a potential decentralized solution, we ran a crash course on how to build your own blockchain project. The session covered how various deployment considerations would affect the cost, time, and complexity of implementation.
